About Us
Founded in 1994, the Cal Poly Pomona Professionals in Human Resources Association (CPP PIHRA) is a non-profit student organization dedicated to the field of Human Resource Management. We are a SHRM and PIHRA Student Chapter that offers various opportunities for all members to become more educated in Human Resources. Members can participate in the many professional activities planned every year, including volunteer opportunities, socials, fundraisers, seminars, workshops, and presentations. Our members get an excellent opportunity to get involved on campus, network, foster friendships, build their resume and of course, learn more about Human Resources.

The United Business Student Senate (UBSS) is one among the eight academic councils found within the California State University of Pomona system, and serves over fifteen student organizations within the College of Business. Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA) - The largest global affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) that covers Southern California. Founded in 1945, PIHRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the continuous enhancement of human resources through networking, learning, and advocacy. Today, it has 16 districts representing more than 3,500 individual members from more than 2,500 companies. Our closest/local professional PIHRA chapter is PIHRA Inland Valley.
